What is Koncium?

Koncium (kawn-see-um) is a term that we have created from the Latin words for consciousness and awareness. These have been adapted in light of 17th century philosopher Rene Descartes to result in what we mean by the word Koncium:

Koncium represents a reflective state of mind where one is fully conscious and aware of their thoughts, emotions, and actions. It is a process of knowing ourselves and understanding our behaviours in order to free us to be able to reach our potential as performers and people.

At Koncium it is our utmost belief that developing excellence in performance and life starts and ends with your commitment to being aware of what you are thinking, how you are feeling, and understanding why you do what you do!

Coaching & Consulting Philosophy

My mission is to help athletes and performers achieve personal excellence by developing the mental skills that enhance both performance and life. Through a collaborative and supportive process, I guide individuals in strengthening their “mental game” using proven psychological strategies that improve focus, confidence, and competitive outcomes.

While much of my work is rooted in sport, the mental skills I teach—like emotional regulation, goal-setting, and resilience—are universally applicable. Whether on the field, in the workplace, or on stage, my clients gain tools they can use throughout life.

My consulting approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing primarily from cognitive-behavioural (CBT) methods, including third-wave CBT strategies. I also incorporate elements from behavioral, solution-focused, Gestalt, and Rogerian psychology to tailor support to each individual’s needs, ensuring a flexible and personalized coaching experience.

Take your next step.

Mental Skills Training Is for Everyone

Mental skills training isn’t just for elite athletes. Whether you’re in the workplace, on the field, or performing on stage, your thoughts and emotions directly impact your performance and well-being.

No matter your age, experience, or skill level, if you’re open to self-growth and committed to building self-awareness, you can benefit from mental performance training. It’s a powerful tool for anyone looking to improve focus, resilience, and confidence in any area of life.
